M&K Sound

X Series

The M&K Sound X Series is a range of powered subwoofers made by M&K Sound for low-frequency reproduction in stereo and surround systems. Models use 8-inch, 10-inch, or 12-inch woofers with open cast baskets, aluminum AC shorting rings, aluminum pole spacers, half-roll SBR suspensions, and 2-inch long voice coils wound on titanium formers. The amplifier section combines an analog input stage with a Class D switching power amplifier rated at 400 watts continuous and 600 watts peak, with variable EQ, phase, and crossover controls, no servo controls, and filtering configured for response down to 20 Hz; the subwoofers meet and exceed THX specifications.
