The Pro-Ject Audio Systems X8 B is a belt-drive turntable with a massive MDF chassis, a 5.1 kg TPE-damped platter precision-lathed from a single aluminium block, and height-adjustable TPE-damped aluminium feet. It uses an inverted platter bearing with ceramic ball tips and magnetic support, plus a 9-inch one-piece carbon-fibre tonearm with an effective length of 230 mm and effective mass of 8.5 g. The X8 B provides electronically switched 33 and 45 RPM speeds and a 5-pin output for Pro-Ject’s True Balanced Connection, with a semi-balanced Connect it E 5P-to-RCA cable included.
