The final D8000 is an open-type headphone produced in-house at the manufacturer’s headquarters in Kawasaki. It uses an AFDS (Air Film Dumping System) planar-magnetic driver in a precision-cut aluminum-magnesium-alloy housing, with newly developed breathable ear pads, 98 dB sensitivity, 60 Ω impedance, and a listed weight of 523 g; it includes detachable OFC cables measuring 1.5 m with a 3.5 mm plug and 3 m with a 6.3 mm plug.
