The Classic Evo Sub-platter
The Classic Reference is a turntable made by Pro-Ject Audio Systems, based on the The Classic EVO platform. It uses a belt-drive system with electronically selectable 33, 45, and 78 RPM speeds, a DC-driven AC-generator motor, a 300 mm machined aluminium platter with a TPE damping ring, and a diamond-cut aluminium sub-platter with a stainless-steel main bearing. The turntable is fitted with an EVO 9 AS HG tonearm featuring an inverted cardanic Swiss ABEC 7 bearing, an aluminium S-shaped tube, SME-type headshell, and flexible high-purity copper internal wiring.
