Origin Live
Sovereign S MKV Turntable
The Sovereign is a high-end belt-drive turntable manufactured by Origin Live in the UK. It uses a three-layer high-mass plinth, a multilayer platter, a single-point cantilevered suspension, and an in-house MK4 ultra-low-friction bearing with a tungsten-carbide ball and hardened thrust pad. Its Mk5 motor power supply provides 33.33 and 45 RPM selection via one control, while the armboard accepts 9.5-inch and 12-inch Origin Live arms, Rega arms, and—when specially machined—other tonearm brands.
