Acoustic Sciences Corporation (ASC)
QuickSoundField
Acoustic Sciences’ QuickSoundField is a recording-environment configuration built from eight StudioTraps arranged in a circle around an omnidirectional microphone and the performer. The StudioTraps acoustically “shadow” the room surfaces, leaving the bare room as a low-level, diffusive, time-delayed ambience and enabling adjustment from studio-dead to more live-sounding results. The StudioTraps can also be positioned beside monitor speakers, and with ASC MonitorStands the system can be converted into an AttackWall mixing/editing workstation.
