EAR
88PB
Introduced 2007$4,995 MSRP
The 88PB is EAR Yoshino's upmarket valve phono stage, hand-built in England by a small team under the direction of the late designer Tim de Paravicini and sold through a limited dealer network rather than mass retail. It uses de Paravicini's own moving-coil step-up transformers ahead of an all-tube gain stage, qualifying it as boutique via its small-scale English manufacture, direct engineering pedigree, and narrow distribution.
