A Family Affair

The M&K Sound 150 Series is a family of loudspeakers from M&K Sound available as the passive S150 MKII THX Ultra2 standmount, active MPS2510P standmount with built-in Class A/B amplification, MP150 wall-mount, and IW150 in-wall/in-ceiling models. Its configuration uses three stacked high-frequency transducers and two 5.25-inch bass/mid drivers, with a dedicated crossover operating at 1.5 kHz and third- and second-order sections incorporating precision components including metalized polypropylene capacitors with tolerances as low as 5%. The systems have a 4-ohm minimum impedance, a stated average response of ±2 dB across the full audio band at typical listening distances, and M&K Sound’s Phase-Focused™ crossover with wide horizontal and controlled vertical dispersion.
