Legacy Audio
Foundation
The Foundation is a compact dual-12-inch powered subwoofer from Legacy Audio, a small, family-run Illinois loudspeaker maker that builds cabinets in-house and sells largely direct/through a limited dealer network rather than big-box retail. Using patented compound passive-radiator loading and a 1,000-watt ICEpower amplifier, it earned a "Best of 2018" Best Subwoofer award from Secrets of Home Theater & High Fidelity and was previewed in Audioholics and The Absolute Sound's speaker buyer's guide, giving it solid trade-press pedigree for a boutique product (Legacy Audio review roundup, Audioholics preview).
