Wavelight PRE/DAC
The Rockna Audio Wavelight PRE/DAC is a digital-to-analog converter and preamplifier with five digital inputs and one analog input. It uses a Xilinx Spartan7 FPGA, a 25-bit discrete R2R conversion topology with a hybrid mode in development, memory-based PLL reclocking, and selectable NOS, linear-phase, minimum-phase, and hybrid-phase digital filters. The unit has a fully discrete analog path, digitally controlled analog volume, two toroidal transformers separating analog and digital circuitry, over 100,000 µF of power-supply filtering, and a full aluminium chassis with anodised finishing.
