The Ortofon 2MR Red is a moving-magnet phono cartridge made by Ortofon for low-profile turntables and tonearms such as Rega. It uses a slim cartridge housing reduced by 3 mm in height, a high-performance motor system with quad coils and split pole pins incorporating copper wire, and has an output voltage of 5.5 mV; the housing is compatible with all 2M styli.
