The Yamaha MSP5A is a bi-amplified powered monitor speaker with a 12-cm (5-inch) woofer and 2.5-cm (1-inch) titanium-dome tweeter. It uses separate 40-watt and 27-watt amplifiers for the low-mid driver and tweeter, respectively, with an active crossover and a waveguide horn providing 120-degree coverage. Connectivity includes balanced XLR-type inputs and an unbalanced 1/4-inch phone jack, with four-position low and three-position high trim switches for room matching.
