Minus K Technology

100BM-1

Introduced 2013$5,400 MSRP

Minus K Technology is a small California engineering firm best known for negative-stiffness isolation systems used in scientific instrumentation, which it also sells in low volumes directly to audiophiles for turntables and sensitive electronics; each platform is essentially hand-built to order from a published options list rather than mass-produced. The 100BM-1 uses a pre-loaded spring working against four pairs of mechanical flexures to achieve sub-1Hz vertical resonance, a level of measured isolation performance well beyond typical audiophile footers, and it has been reviewed in the specialist audio press and used by owners of reference-grade turntables such as the Continuum Caliburn.
