The STAX UIM-1 is a USB DAC module designed for installation in the LINE 4 optional slot of the SRM-T8000 and was originally developed in Japan. It uses one ESS9038Q2M DAC per channel in monaural mode, with completely separated post-DAC analog circuits, including low-pass filters, for the left and right channels, plus independent power supplies for the CPU, DAC, and operational amplifier. It supports 16-, 24-, and 32-bit PCM at 44.1–384 kHz, native DSD at 2.8–22.5 MHz, and DoP DSD at 2.8–11.2 MHz.
